Prayers of the Faithful for the 33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time

Readings: Prv 31:10-13, 19-20, 30-31 · 1 Thes 5:1-6 · Mt 25:14-30 or 25:14-15, 19-21

The readings in brief: The first reading praises the woman who works with willing hands and opens them to the poor. Saint Paul calls us children of the light, awake and sober as the day of the Lord draws near. In the parable of the talents, the master rewards the servants who put his gifts to work.

Introduction (priest): Gathered as one family in Christ, let us pray to the Father for the Church, for the world and for all who are in need.

Concluding prayer (priest): God of mercy, you never turn away those who hope in you. Receive these prayers and answer them according to your love. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
