I did this many so there can be something that perfectly resonates with you. I should also let you know that these prayers of the faithful were crafted following the instructions of the General Instructions of the Roman Missal. Prayers of the Faithful for Advent

OPTION #1

  1. Lector: For the Church, that our Advent journey may renew our zeal for the Gospel and deepen our faith in God’s promises. Let us pray to the Lord. All: Lord, hear our prayer.
  2. Lector: For leaders of nations, that wisdom and justice may guide their decisions, fostering peace and the common good. Let us pray to the Lord. All: Lord, hear our prayer.
  3. Lector: For those burdened by poverty, illness, or loneliness, that they may receive the support they need and experience the warmth of community this season. Let us pray to the Lord. All: Lord, hear our prayer.
  4. Lector: For our community, that we may prepare our hearts to welcome Jesus through acts of kindness and generosity. Let us pray to the Lord. All: Lord, hear our prayer.

  2. Lector: For world leaders, that they prioritize the needs of the poor and vulnerable in their policy decisions. Let us pray to the Lord. All: Lord, hear our prayer.
  3. Lector: For all those who suffer from addiction, that they may find hope and help in their journey toward recovery. Let us pray to the Lord. All: Lord, hear our prayer.
  4. Lector: For our community, that we actively prepare for the Lord’s coming by reaching out to those in need. Let us pray to the Lord. All: Lord, hear our prayer.

  3. Lector: For those suffering due to natural disasters, economic hardship, or social injustice, that they find relief and support through our actions and prayers. Let us pray to the Lord. All: Lord, hear our prayer.

  2. Lector: For civic leaders and all those in positions of power, that they may be inspired by the justice and humility of Christ as they carry out their duties. Let us pray to the Lord. All: Lord, hear our prayer.
  3. Lector: For those who feel isolated or forgotten during these times, that our community may extend to them the hand of friendship and inclusion. Let us pray to the Lord. All: Lord, hear our prayer.
  4. Lector: For all of us gathered here, that we may take time to reflect on the coming of Christ and prepare our hearts through prayer, repentance, and acts of charity. Let us pray to the Lord. All: Lord, hear our prayer.
  5. Lector: For the safety of travelers and those far from home, that they may find joy in their journeys and return safely to their loved ones. Let us pray to the Lord. All: Lord, hear our prayer.
