Prayers of the Faithful for the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The readings in brief: After the fall, God promises that the offspring of the woman will strike the head of the serpent. Saint Paul blesses God, who chose us in Christ before the world began. In the Gospel, the angel greets Mary as full of grace, and she answers: let it be done to me according to your word.

Introduction (priest): Brothers and sisters, in this season of waiting let us ask the Father to prepare the world for the coming of his Son.

Concluding prayer (priest): Come, Lord, and do not delay. Answer the prayers of your Church and let your light shine on all who wait for you, who live and reign for ever and ever. Amen.
