Prayers of the Faithful for Tuesday of the 7th Week of Easter
Option 1
1.That the Church, knowing that eternal life consists in knowing the Father and the Son he has sent, may always place this knowledge at the center of all her preaching, worship, and mission, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
2.That world leaders may recognize that authority over all flesh is given for the purpose of eternal life—not worldly power—and so govern for the flourishing of every person they serve, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
3.For those who have been given to the Son by the Father without knowing it—the unbaptized, the searching, the distant—that Christ's own prayer may draw them into the knowledge of the only true God, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
4.That we may enter more deeply into the knowledge of the only true God and of Jesus Christ—the knowledge that is not information but relationship, the relationship that is eternal life, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
5.That our parish may be a community of those who know they belong to the Father—given to the Son, prayed for by Christ, and called to share his glory before the watching world, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
Optional:For the renewal of our parish's sense of being a people chosen by the Father and given to Christ, that we may live that dignity with joy.Lord, hear our prayer.
That N. and all the faithful departed may now know the Father and the Son as Christ prays—face to face, in the fullness of eternal life, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
Option 2
1.For Pope Leo XIV, that Christ's High Priestly Prayer may sustain him—he is one of those given by the Father to the Son, prayed for by name, and sent to reveal God's name to the world, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
2.That all nations may come to know the only true God and Jesus Christ whom he has sent—the knowledge that is not merely theology but living relationship, and which Jesus himself calls eternal life, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
3.For those who do not yet know the Father or the Son, that the prayers of Christ and his Church may open a door to eternal life for them before the hour of death closes it, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
4.That we may find our identity in the words of Christ's prayer: 'they are yours'—belonging to the Father, given to the Son, and treasured by the one who prays for us in his hour of glory, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
5.For our local church, that the High Priestly Prayer of Christ may reach each of us as a personal intercession—knowing that he prays for those the Father has given him, and we are among them, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
Optional:For those who are searching for God, that the intercession of Christ may guide them into the knowledge that is eternal life.Lord, hear our prayer.
That N. and all who have died may now be with Christ where he is—sharing the glory he had with the Father before the world began, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
Pro Life Option
1.That the Church may proclaim that eternal life—knowing the only true God—begins at conception, as each person is known and loved by the Father before the world began, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
2.That lawmakers may hear Christ's own definition of eternal life: to know the only true God—and recognize that every unborn child is already being drawn into that eternal knowing by the God who loves them, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
3.For mothers who are pregnant and uncertain, that they may know they are the kind of people Christ prays for—those the Father has given him, belonging to the Father, and held in Christ's own prayer, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
4.That we may see every human life through the lens of this prayer: each person is one 'whom you gave me out of the world'—belonging first to the Father before belonging to any human decision, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
5.That our parish may take Christ's prayer seriously—praying as he prays, defending what he values, and welcoming as the Father's own every child that is born or waits to be born, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
Optional:For all who pray in solidarity with unborn children, that they may find encouragement in knowing Christ himself intercedes for those the Father loves.Lord, hear our prayer.
That N. and all children lost before birth may share the glory that Christ prays for his own—the glory he had with the Father before the world began, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.

About Prayers of the Faithful
The Prayers of the Faithful, also known as bidding prayers or general intercessions, are an essential part of the Catholic Mass. These prayers allow the congregation to intercede for the needs of the Church, the world, those in authority, those oppressed by various needs, the local community, and the deceased.
Our daily prayers are carefully crafted according to the liturgical calendar, ensuring that each day's intercessions are appropriate for the specific celebration, whether it be a solemnity, feast, memorial, or ordinary day of the liturgical year.
