Option 1

1.That the Church, revealing the face of the Father in the face of Christ, may make God known and loved throughout the world, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
2.That world leaders may govern with the justice and mercy they see reflected in Jesus, the image of the unseen Father, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
3.For those who do not know God, that believers may reveal Christ to them through word and life, making the Father visible in the face of his Son, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
4.That we may take Christ at his word—that to know Jesus is to know the Father—and deepen our knowledge of him through scripture, prayer, and the sacraments, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
