Option 1

1.For the Church: that she may feed the hungry body and soul, trusting Christ to multiply what she offers, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
2.That leaders of nations may hear the question put to Philip — how are we to feed all these people? — and respond with the generosity and creativity the moment demands, rather than turning the crowd away, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
3.For all who are hungry — for food, for dignity, for hope — that the Easter abundance of God may reach them through the hands of those He sends, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
4.That we may bring what we have — our five loaves and two fish, however inadequate they seem — and place them in Christ's hands without waiting until we feel we have enough to offer, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
5.That our parish may be attentive to the fragments that others overlook — gathering up whatever is left, so that nothing and no one is wasted or forgotten in our community, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
