
Here are prayers of the faithful for this week (Monday July 15th – Sunday July 21st), and written following the instructions of the General instructions of the Roman Missal.

PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL THIS WEEK (July 15 – 21)
The sets of intentions in this post contain two optional intentions, labeled I and II. Intention I addresses a local, topical need for the living, while Intention II is for the deceased, with an option to add names if customary.
Monday – July 15th
- For priests and deacons, that they may be strengthened in their ministry and service to God’s people. Let us pray to the Lord.
- For our civil leaders, that they may govern with wisdom and compassion, seeking the good of all citizens, let us pray to the Lord.
- For those struggling with anxiety and depression, that they may find comfort and healing in God’s love, let us pray to the Lord.
- For all who are oppressed by injustice, that they may be liberated and find hope in Christ’s message of salvation, let us pray to the Lord.
- For our community, that we may learn to do good, seek justice, and help the oppressed as God commands, let us pray to the Lord.
I. For those affected by natural disasters, that they may receive the aid and support they need, let us pray to the Lord.
II. That the Son of Man may grant his salvation to those who have died, especially [names], let us pray to the Lord.
OPTION #2:
- For religious men and women, that their witness of consecrated life may inspire others to follow Christ more closely. Let us pray to the Lord.
- For world leaders, that they may work tirelessly for peace and reconciliation among nations, let us pray to the Lord.
- For those battling addiction, that they may find strength in God’s grace to overcome their struggles, let us pray to the Lord.
- For families experiencing conflict, that they may find healing and unity through Christ’s love, let us pray to the Lord.
- For the unemployed and underemployed, that they may find meaningful work to support themselves and their families, let us pray to the Lord.

Tuesday – July 16th
- For the unity of all Christians, that we may work together to overcome divisions and bear witness to Christ’s love. Let us pray to the Lord.
- For those in positions of authority, that they may lead with integrity and work for the common good, let us pray to the Lord.
- For those living with chronic illness, that they may find strength and comfort in God’s presence, let us pray to the Lord.
- For nations experiencing political unrest, that they may find peaceful resolutions to their conflicts, let us pray to the Lord.
- For our community, that we may remain calm and trust in God’s providence during challenging times, let us pray to the Lord.
