Here are prayers of the faithful for this week Monday 9th June 2025 – Sunday 15th June 2025, and written following the instructions of the General instructions of the Roman Missal.

Monday – June 9th 2025 ( Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church)

  1. For the Church, that like Mary, Mother of the Church, all the faithful may respond with trust to God’s calling and embrace their spiritual motherhood in building up the Body of Christ, let us pray to the Lord.
  2. For world leaders, that they may seek wisdom in their governance and work to heal the divisions that separate nations and peoples, let us pray to the Lord.
  3. For those who struggle with shame and fear like Adam in the garden, that they may find courage to approach God’s mercy and experience His healing love, let us pray to the Lord.
  4. For families facing the rising costs of living and inflation, that they may receive the support they need and find hope in times of economic hardship, let us pray to the Lord.
  5. For all mothers, especially those who have lost children, that through Mary’s intercession they may find comfort in their sorrow and strength in their maternal calling, let us pray to the Lord.

  1. For the holy Catholic Church, that she may always stand faithfully at the foot of the cross with Mary, supporting all who suffer and bringing forth new life in Christ, let us pray to the Lord.
  2. For those in civil authority, that they may govern with justice and work to protect the vulnerable and oppressed in our society, let us pray to the Lord.
  3. For those overwhelmed by guilt and fear, that like our first parents they may hear God’s promise of redemption and find peace in His forgiveness, let us pray to the Lord.
  4. For victims of violence and crime, that they may experience God’s protection and find healing through the love of Christian communities, let us pray to the Lord.

Tuesday – June 10th, 2025

  1. For the Church, that she may be a source of comfort to all who suffer, sharing in Christ’s afflictions and offering His consolation to a troubled world, let us pray to the Lord.
  2. For government officials working to address healthcare affordability, that they may find effective solutions to ensure all people receive necessary medical care, let us pray to the Lord.
  3. For the poor in spirit and those who mourn, that they may experience the comfort God promises and find their true inheritance in His kingdom, let us pray to the Lord.
  4. For peacemakers in our communities, that their efforts to end violence and bring reconciliation may bear fruit, let us pray to the Lord.
  5. For those suffering from depression and anxiety, that they may find comfort in God’s mercies and support from caring communities, let us pray to the Lord.

Wednesday – June 11th, 2025 – (Feast of Saint Barnabas, Apostle)

  1. For the Church in her mission of evangelization, that like Saint Barnabas she may encourage new believers and strengthen the faith of all disciples, let us pray to the Lord.
  2. For nations where religious freedom is restricted, that the witness of believers may open hearts to the Gospel and lead to greater tolerance, let us pray to the Lord.
  3. For those called to ministry and service, that they may respond generously like Barnabas and dedicate their lives to building up God’s people, let us pray to the Lord.
  4. For those struggling with unemployment, that they may find meaningful work and the dignity that comes from contributing to society, let us pray to the Lord.
  5. For missionaries and evangelists, that their preaching may be fruitful and their witness may draw many to Christ, let us pray to the Lord.

  2. For those working to reduce the national budget deficit, that they may make wise decisions that serve the common good, let us pray to the Lord.
  3. For those whose hearts are hardened by sin, that God’s light may shine in their darkness and transform their lives, let us pray to the Lord.
  4. For those engaged in conflict and litigation, that they may seek reconciliation before anger destroys relationships, let us pray to the Lord.
  5. For all who proclaim God’s word, that they may speak with clarity and conviction, never losing heart in their ministry, let us pray to the Lord.

Friday – June 13th, 2025 (Feast of Saint Anthony of Padua, Priest and Doctor of the Church)

  1. For the Church in her preaching ministry, that like Saint Anthony she may proclaim God’s word with power and help the lost find their way to Christ, let us pray to the Lord.
  2. For those in authority, that they may treasure the Gospel in their hearts and govern according to Christian principles, let us pray to the Lord.
  3. For those carrying the treasure of faith in earthen vessels, that God’s power may be made manifest through their weakness, let us pray to the Lord.
  4. For those struggling with addiction, that they may find freedom from their bondage and discover new life in Christ, let us pray to the Lord.
  5. For preachers and teachers of the faith, that their words may bear fruit and lead many to conversion, let us pray to the Lord.

  3. For those who have died to sin through baptism, that they may live as new creations in Christ and reject all that is old and sinful, let us pray to the Lord.
  4. For those who struggle with honesty in their speech, that they may speak truthfully and keep their promises faithfully, let us pray to the Lord.

  2. For world leaders, that guided by divine wisdom they may govern with justice and seek the common good of all peoples, let us pray to the Lord.
  3. For those seeking truth, that the Spirit of truth may guide them to all truth and help them recognize God’s voice in their hearts, let us pray to the Lord.
  4. For those who cannot bear the fullness of God’s revelation, that they may grow gradually in faith and be prepared to receive deeper mysteries, let us pray to the Lord.
  5. For all who are crafted in God’s image, that they may find their delight in serving the Trinity and building up creation according to God’s plan, let us pray to the Lord.
  6. For young people discerning their vocations, that they may hear the Spirit’s guidance and respond generously to God’s call, let us pray to the Lord.
