Here are prayers of the faithful for this week (Monday July 8th – Sunday July 14th), and written following the instructions of the General instructions of the Roman Missal.

PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL THIS WEEK (July 8 – 14)

The sets of intentions in this post contain two optional intentions, labeled I and II. Intention I addresses a local, topical need for the living, while Intention II is for the deceased, with an option to add names if customary.

Monday, July 8th, 2024

  1. For the Church, that she may faithfully proclaim the Gospel and be a beacon of hope in the world, let us pray to the Lord.
  2. For world leaders, that they may govern with justice and compassion, let us pray to the Lord.
  3. For those suffering from chronic illnesses, that they may find healing and hope in Christ, let us pray to the Lord.
  4. For families experiencing difficulties, that they may be strengthened by God’s love, let us pray to the Lord.
  5. For those struggling with anxiety, that they may find peace in God’s presence, let us pray to the Lord.

II. That those who have died, especially N., may see the face of God and dwell in the eternal light of Christ, let us pray to the Lord.

Option #2:

  1. For the needs of the Church, that she may be strengthened in her mission of evangelization, let us pray to the Lord.

  3. For those facing financial hardships, that they may receive the support they need, let us pray to the Lord.

Tuesday, July 9th, 2024
