Prayers of the faithful for Wednesday May 22, 2024 – #7 OPTIONS

Here are 7 Different sets of prayers of the faithful specifically for Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024, and written following the instructions of the General instructions of the Roman Missal.

OPTION #2

  1. That Christ, obedient to his Father, may guide all members of the Church to trust in God’s promises, let us pray to the Lord.
  2. For leaders around the world, that they may govern with justice and seek peace, let us pray to the Lord.
  3. For those burdened by any kind of difficulty, that they may find strength and hope in the Lord, let us pray to the Lord.
  4. For all humanity, that we may recognize our dependence on God’s will in all things, let us pray to the Lord.

II: That our departed brothers and sisters may be welcomed into the kingdom of eternal life, especially N.

OPTION #3

  1. That the Church may remain steadfast in its mission to spread the Gospel and uphold the truth of God’s word, let us pray to the Lord.
  2. That world leaders may seek peace and collaboration, fostering unity among all nations, let us pray to the Lord.
  3. For those burdened by poverty and injustice, that they may find relief through our efforts and God’s grace, let us pray to the Lord.
  4. That we may all recognize the importance of humility and dependence on God’s will in our daily lives, let us pray to the Lord.

OPTION #4

  3. For those who suffer from illness, loneliness, or despair, that they may find healing and hope in Christ, let us pray to the Lord.
  4. That we may live each day with the awareness of our dependence on God’s grace and guidance, let us pray to the Lord.

OPTION #5

  1. That the holy Catholic Church may be united in fidelity to the Pope and Bishops, let us pray to the Lord.

  3. For those oppressed by various needs, that they may receive the assistance and compassion they need to thrive, let us pray to the Lord.
  4. For all mankind, that we may be humble and recognize our need for God’s mercy and direction, let us pray to the Lord.

  4. For all humanity, that we may come to the full knowledge of the truth and embrace the salvation offered by Christ, let us pray to the Lord.
  5. For the salvation of the entire world, that the light of Christ may dispel the darkness of sin and bring peace and reconciliation to all nations, let us pray to the Lord.
