Here are 5 Different sets of prayers of the faithful specifically for Saturday May 25th, 2024, and written following the instructions of the General instructions of the Roman Missal.

The sets of intentions in this post contain two optional intentions, labeled A and B. Intention A addresses a local, topical need for the living, while Intention B is for the deceased, with an option to add names if customary.

OPTION #1

  1. For the holy Church of God, that all believers may be one in heart and mind, let us pray to the Lord…
  2. For those who govern nations, that they may act with wisdom, integrity and concern for the poor, let us pray to the Lord…
  3. For an end to violence, injustice and oppression throughout the world, let us pray to the Lord…
  4. For all who suffer persecution, poverty, illness or heartache, that they may know God’s compassionate love, let us pray to the Lord…
  5. For our parish community, that we may be a sign of Christ’s presence to our families and neighbors, let us pray to the Lord…

B. For all our relatives and friends who have died, especially N., let us pray to the Lord…

OPTION #2

  1. For the Church in her mission to proclaim the Gospel, let us pray to the Lord.
  2. For those in authority, that they may enact policies that uplift the poor and marginalized, let us pray to the Lord.
  3. For the sick and suffering, that through the prayers of the Church and the anointing with oil, they may find relief, let us pray to the Lord.
  4. For our community, that we may be instruments of God’s love and mercy to those around us, let us pray to the Lord.

OPTION #3

  1. For missionaries who spread the Gospel in word and deed, let us pray to the Lord…

  4. For victims of abuse, human trafficking and domestic violence, let us pray to the Lord…
  5. For those who are imprisoned, and for their families, let us pray to the Lord…

  4. For our local community, that we may grow in faith and support one another in our spiritual journeys, let us pray to the Lord.

  4. For those who are homeless or lack life’s basic necessities, let us pray to the Lord…
  5. For the sick, the dying, and all who care for them, let us pray to the Lord…
  6. For our youth and young adults, and those who guide them, let us pray to the Lord…
