Prayers of the faithful for International Women’s Day – #5 OPTIONS

Here are 5 Different sets of prayers of the faithful specifically for International Women’s Day, and written following the instructions of the General instructions of the Roman Missal.

The sets of intentions in this post contain two optional intentions, labeled I and II. Intention I addresses a local, topical need for the living, while Intention II is for the deceased, with an option to add names if customary.

OPTION #1

  1. That the holy Catholic Church may be united in fidelity to the Pope and Bishops, let us pray to the Lord.

OPTION #2

  1. That Christ, obedient to his Father, may guide all members of the Church to trust in God’s promises, let us pray to the Lord.

  3. For women in religious life, that their commitment to serving God and humanity may inspire others to lives of faith and service, let us pray to the Lord.
  4. For women who are caregivers, that they may be strengthened and supported in their work, let us pray to the Lord.
  5. For women in the sciences and the arts, that their work may be recognized and celebrated, let us pray to the Lord.
  6. For young women, that they may receive the education and encouragement they need to pursue their goals, let us pray to the Lord.

  4. For the spiritual and emotional well-being of women, that they may find solace and strength in their faith, let us pray to the Lord.
  5. For the celebration of the achievements of women throughout history and today, let us pray to the Lord.

  3. For the economic empowerment of women, that they may have access to resources and opportunities, let us pray to the Lord.
  4. For the health and well-being of all women, that they may receive proper medical care and support, let us pray to the Lord.
  5. For women who inspire others through their courage and resilience, let us pray to the Lord.
