Prayers of the faithful for Hope – #7 OPTIONS

Here are 7 Different sets of prayers of the faithful specifically for hope, and written following the instructions of the General instructions of the Roman Missal.

The sets of intentions in this post contain two optional intentions, labeled I and II. Intention I addresses a local, topical need for the living, while Intention II is for the deceased, with an option to add names if customary.

OPTION #1

  1. For the Church, that it may always be a beacon of hope and encouragement for the suffering and downtrodden, let us pray to the Lord.

OPTION #2

  1. For the holy Catholic Church, that it may continue to proclaim the hope of the resurrection to all nations, let us pray to the Lord.
  2. For civil authorities and leaders, that they may have the wisdom and courage to lead with compassion and work towards a more hopeful future for all, let us pray to the Lord.
  3. For those who have lost hope due to poverty, war, or oppression, that they may find strength and encouragement in the love of Christ, let us pray to the Lord.
  4. For our parish family, that our actions may be a testament to the hope we have in the promises of God, let us pray to the Lord.
