Option 1
1.That the Church may always be formed by the teaching of Jesus: whoever wishes to be great must be servant of all, and whoever wishes to be first must be slave of all, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
2.That leaders of nations may govern not as the rulers of the Gentiles who lord it over others, but as servants of the common good who place themselves last, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
3.For all who carry the cup of suffering — illness, loss, persecution — that they may drink it with James in union with Christ who gave His life as a ransom for many, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
