Option 1

1.That the Church, like the disciples on the road to Emmaus, may have her heart burning as the Scriptures are opened and Christ is recognized in the breaking of the bread, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
2.That world leaders may seek the wisdom of the risen Christ in their governance, working for a world where all may share in the banquet of life, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
3.For all who are journeying in faith, especially those who are doubtful or downcast, that they may encounter the risen Lord and have their eyes opened to His presence, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
