Prayers of the faithful for Faith

The sets of intentions in this post contain two optional intentions, labeled I and II. Intention I addresses a local, topical need for the living, while Intention II is for the deceased, with an option to add names if customary.

OPTION #1

  1. For the Church in her universal ministry of mercy and forgiveness, let us pray to the Lord.
  2. For catechumens and those seeking to deepen their faith, that they may be open to God’s grace, let us pray to the Lord.

OPTION #2

  1. For the Church under persecution, that the faith and sacraments may hold the people together, let us pray to the Lord.
  2. For world leaders, that faith may inspire them to work for justice and peace, let us pray to the Lord.
  3. For young people, that they may discover the joy of a life lived in faith, let us pray to the Lord.
  4. For those persecuted for their faith, that they may find strength in Christ’s example, let us pray to the Lord.
  5. For our parish, that we may be living witnesses of faith in our daily lives, let us pray to the Lord.

OPTION #3
