- Preparation: Before Mass begins, ensure that the text of the intentions is already at the lectern or bring it with you when you approach.
- Waiting for the cue: Once at the lectern, wait for the celebrant to read the introduction to the intercessions. This is your signal to begin announcing the intentions.
- Multiple readers: If several people are sharing the role of announcing intentions, all should go to the lectern area together at the appropriate time.
