Prayers of the Faithful for Monday, 13th Week in Ordinary Time
Option 1
1.That the Church may always intercede with the faith of Jairus — coming to Jesus, falling at His feet, and asking Him to lay His hand on those who are dying, trusting He can restore life, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
2.That world leaders may have the courage of the woman in the crowd — reaching through every obstacle toward the source of healing — and not be deterred by those who ridicule their hope, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
3.For the seriously ill and those told there is no hope, that they may hear Christ's word to Jairus: Come — and to the woman: Take courage — your faith has saved you, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
4.That we may not lose faith when the situation seems too late, knowing that what looks like sleep to Christ is what the world calls death, and He can raise what He wills, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
5.That our local community may be like Saint Maria Goretti — whose feast we honour today — keeping faith in Christ through every trial, even to the giving of one's life, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
Optional:For our sick, bereaved, etc., and for all who minister to the dying.Lord, hear our prayer.
That N. and all the faithful departed may hear Christ's command — arise — and be raised to the fullness of eternal life, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.

Option 2
1.For Pope Leo XIV, that he may lead the Church with the bold faith of Jairus who knelt before Christ when every human remedy had failed, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
2.That all peoples may discover that the touch of Christ — sought in faith, received in humility — can heal what medicine cannot and restore what death has claimed, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
3.For young people, inspired by Saint Maria Goretti who gave her life rather than betray her purity, that they may find in Christ the strength to resist what destroys their dignity, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
4.That we may reach out in faith as the woman with the hemorrhage did — touching Christ in prayer, in the sacraments, in the poor — trusting that even this hidden contact brings healing, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
5.For our parish, that it may be a community of bold intercession: kneeling before Christ for one another, never giving up in prayer, believing He can raise even what seems beyond hope, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
Optional:For victims of sexual violence, inspired by Saint Maria Goretti's witness, that they may find healing, dignity, and justice.Lord, hear our prayer.
That N. and all who have died may be raised by Christ who told the mourners: she is not dead but sleeping — and proved it, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.

Pro Life Option
1.That the Church may intercede with Jairus-like persistence for every unborn child: come, lay your hand on them — they are precious and their life is in Your hands, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
2.That lawmakers may act with the faith of those who approached Christ despite ridicule — defending the lives of the unborn even when society deems the cause lost, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
3.For young women facing crisis pregnancies, that like the woman who reached for Christ's cloak they may reach for the help that is near, and hear Him say: take courage — your faith has saved you, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
4.That those who grieve a child lost to miscarriage or abortion may be consoled by the Lord who raised the little girl, knowing He holds every child He has made, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
5.That our local community may never give up hope for any child or mother in danger, trusting the one who says: she is not dead but sleeping — and acts on it, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
Optional:For all who accompany grieving parents — after miscarriage, stillbirth, or abortion — with the compassion of Christ who wept before He raised.Lord, hear our prayer.
That N. and all children who died before birth may be raised by Christ who commanded: arise — and may their parents one day be reunited with them, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.

2.That world leaders may go through the towns and villages of their nations seeing what Jesus saw: a harvest of human need, people harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
3.For all who are bound by spiritual oppression or despair, that Christ may drive out what silences them and restore their voice to praise and to life, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
4.That we may pray urgently to the master of the harvest to send laborers — and be willing to hear that prayer answered in ourselves, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
5.That our local community may see the abundant harvest around us — neighbours harassed and helpless — and ask the Lord in earnest prayer to raise up those who will go, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
Optional:For our sick, bereaved, etc., special projects or events.Lord, hear our prayer.
That N. and all the faithful departed, freed from every bond of sin, may now sing God's praise in the eternal harvest of heaven, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.

2.That all peoples, harassed and helpless like sheep without a shepherd, may encounter the Lord who goes from town to town teaching, proclaiming, and healing, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.

4.That we may pray to the master of the harvest with the urgency the abundance demands, asking Him to send workers equal to the need we see all around us, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
5.For our parish, that it may be a sending community — praying for vocations and missionary courage, then going out to the harvest rather than waiting for the harvest to come in, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
Optional:For an increase in vocations to the priesthood, religious life, and lay mission — that the Lord may send laborers into His harvest.Lord, hear our prayer.
That N. and all who have died may be gathered into the eternal harvest by the Lord who came teaching, proclaiming, and healing, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.

3.For women facing unexpected pregnancies who feel silenced by fear or circumstance, that Christ may restore their voice and their freedom to choose life without shame, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.

5.That our local community may be rich in harvest workers for life — people who accompany mothers, advocate for the unborn, and never give up on the field that still needs tending, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
Optional:For all who labour daily in pregnancy resource centres, maternity homes, and post-abortion healing ministries.Lord, hear our prayer.
That N. and all children who died before birth may be held in the eternal harvest of the master who sees every soul and loses none, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
