Prayers of the Faithful for the 5th SUNDAY OF LENT
Option 1
1.That the Church, like Christ calling Lazarus from the tomb, may bring the hope of resurrection and new life to a world deadened by sin, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
2.That world leaders may work to unbind those oppressed by injustice, poverty, or violence, and restore them to freedom and dignity, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
3.For all who are grieving the loss of loved ones, or who are facing their own mortality, that they may find comfort and hope in Christ, the Resurrection and the Life, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
4.That we who believe in the resurrection of the body may live in joyful hope, preparing for eternal life with Christ, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
5.That our local community may be a place where faith in the resurrection is strong, and where all support one another in times of sorrow and loss, let us pray to the Lord.Lord, hear our prayer.
